Client Portfolio Manager

Rae joined Recurrent in 2023 as a Client Portfolio Manager. Rae has spent most of her career in and around energy infrastructure and natural resources investment research.

Prior to joining Recurrent, Rae was a managing director at US Capital Advisors (USCA), a multi-billion-dollar investment advisory firm based in Houston. At USCA, Rae worked in a variety of senior positions, including equity research sales focused on energy and resources. In recent years, she also helped oversee the buildout of an emerging asset management business. Rae was also a founding member of USCA.

Prior to joining USCA, Rae served as an energy dedicated equity salesperson at UBS covering institutional accounts where she specialized in natural resources and energy infrastructure. Rae began her career working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange before moving to Smith Barney’s equity trading desk in New York City. After Smith Barney, she ran equity trading desks for firms like Tucker Anthony and Hanifen Imhoff.

Rae holds a BS in Marketing and Finance (Trinity University) as well as an MBA in International Finance from the Owen School of Business at Vanderbilt University.

Outside of the office, Rae enjoys skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing and competing in hunter/jumper equestrian events. Her charitable work includes the Epilepsy Foundation, Lymphoma, Leukemia & Multiple Myeloma Society, Texas Children’s Hospital and The Landing. She is a native of Colorado but has been living in Houston with her two teenage boys for the past 17 years.
